Ather 450 और Rizta को CSD approval: 8 variants, discount और EV subsidy update

Ather Energy को अपने electric scooters Canteen Stores Department (CSD) के माध्यम से बेचने की approval मिल गई है। कंपनी की Ather 450 और Rizta series के कुल आठ variants CSD channel के लिए listed बताए गए हैं और बिक्री September 2026 से शुरू होने की उम्मीद है। Ather 450 Apex इस listing में शामिल नहीं है। Eligible Armed Forces personnel को CSD के सामान्य GST-related benefit के अलावा Ather की ओर से एक special manufacturer discount भी मिलेगा, हालांकि इसकी रकम और model-wise final CSD prices अभी सार्वजनिक नहीं किए गए हैं।

Ather को CSD approval मिलने का मतलब क्या है?

CSD में किसी vehicle manufacturer का product केवल civil market में उपलब्ध होने भर से नहीं खरीदा जा सकता। CSD की official FAQ के अनुसार केवल वही AFD models CSD के माध्यम से खरीदे जा सकते हैं जो CSD में formally listed हों। इसलिए Ather की नई approval defence buyers के लिए वास्तविक बदलाव है।

CSD में two-wheelers Group VII – Against Firm Demand (AFD) category में आते हैं। CSD के अनुसार serving defence personnel के साथ eligible ex-servicemen भी इसके clientele का हिस्सा हैं।

Fresh reports के अनुसार Ather को September 2026 से CSD channel के माध्यम से sales शुरू करने की approval मिली है। आठ variants 450 और Rizta product families से होंगे।

CSD में कौन से Ather scooters मिलेंगे?

Ather की official product range में फिलहाल तीन प्रमुख 450 models और दो Rizta models दिखाई देते हैं:

इनमें अलग-अलग battery/range configurations उपलब्ध हैं। Ather की official website 450S और 450X के अलग range options तथा Rizta S और Rizta Z के अलग configurations दिखाती है।

Fresh CSD reports यह स्पष्ट करती हैं कि 450 Apex को छोड़कर 450 और Rizta ranges के आठ variants CSD channel में शामिल किए गए हैं।

लेकिन यहां एक महत्वपूर्ण सावधानी जरूरी है।

Publicly available fresh reports अभी आठों CSD SKUs की complete battery-wise list नहीं देतीं।

CSD से Ather खरीदने पर कितनी saving होगी?

यही defence buyers के लिए सबसे महत्वपूर्ण सवाल है, लेकिन अभी इसका exact rupee answer देना जल्दबाजी होगी।

Ather CSD purchase में संभावित benefit के दो confirmed components हैं:

1. CSD GST-related benefit

CSD purchases का tax structure सामान्य retail purchase से अलग है। CBIC की Notification No. 6/2017 के अनुसार CSD को authorised customers के लिए goods supply करने पर applicable Central GST के 50% refund का statutory framework दिया गया है।

इसका असर CSD pricing में दिखाई देता है, लेकिन इसका मतलब यह नहीं कि civil ex-showroom price पर कोई simple fixed percentage घटाकर final Ather CSD price निकाला जा सकता है।

Final price में CSD pricing, applicable tax treatment और model/location-related factors शामिल हो सकते हैं।

2. Ather का additional special discount

Ather ने CSD buyers के लिए special company discount देने की भी पुष्टि की है। Fresh reports के अनुसार यह benefit CSD के applicable GST benefit के ऊपर होगा।

लेकिन अभी:

Discount amount disclosed नहीं है।

इसलिए ₹5,000, ₹10,000 या किसी अन्य figure को confirmed Ather CSD discount बताना गलत होगा।

क्या Ather की exact CSD price आ गई है?

अभी उपलब्ध credible reports में model-wise final CSD price list नहीं दी गई है।

Ather की official website पर civil-market starting prices उपलब्ध हैं। उदाहरण के लिए, current national product page पर Rizta और 450 ranges की अलग-अलग starting ex-showroom prices दिखाई जाती हैं। लेकिन civil price को CSD price नहीं माना जाना चाहिए।

Defence buyer को purchase decision लेने से पहले तीन चीजें check करनी चाहिए:

CSD भी स्पष्ट करता है कि सिर्फ listed models ही AFD purchase के लिए उपलब्ध होते हैं।

क्या CSD से Ather खरीदने पर Government EV subsidy भी मिलेगी?

यह इस पूरी खबर का सबसे महत्वपूर्ण clarification है।

अभी ऐसा मानना सही नहीं होगा कि Ather को CSD approval मिलने के साथ Central या State Government EV subsidy भी automatically लागू हो गई है।

14 July 2026 को Ministry of Defence की 80th Board of Control Canteen Services meeting में CSD के माध्यम से खरीदे जाने वाले electric two-wheelers पर Central और State Government subsidies extend करने का मुद्दा agenda में शामिल था।

लेकिन PIB release में इसे discussion/deliberation का विषय बताया गया था। उस release में यह नहीं कहा गया कि subsidy extension को पूरे देश में लागू कर दिया गया है।

20 August की Ather CSD reports भी केवल इन benefits की बात करती हैं:

इन reports में July वाला Government EV subsidy proposal लागू होने की पुष्टि नहीं की गई है।

Serving personnel और ex-servicemen Ather scooter कैसे खरीद सकेंगे?

CSD के अनुसार two-wheelers AFD category का हिस्सा हैं। Official CSD information यह भी बताती है कि Armed Forces की categories के लिए two-wheelers उपलब्ध हैं और CSD ex-servicemen को भी अपने beneficiary base का हिस्सा मानता है। Actual purchase हमेशा applicable entitlement और current CSD rules के अधीन होगा।

Current official CSD FAQ के अनुसार two-wheeler खरीद पर applicable periodicity एक बार तीन वर्ष में बताई गई है। Beneficiaries को transaction से पहले current AFD entitlement verify करना चाहिए क्योंकि CSD instructions समय-समय पर update हो सकती हैं।

Ather के मामले में practical sequence यह रहेगा:

यह भी ध्यान रखें कि Ather की CSD sales September 2026 से expected बताई गई हैं। इसलिए approval announcement और actual purchase availability को एक ही चीज नहीं समझना चाहिए।

September 2026 में Ather खरीदने से पहले क्या check करें?

अगर आप Ather scooter CSD से खरीदने की planning कर रहे हैं, तो सबसे पहले official CSD listing और final price सामने आने का इंतजार करना practical रहेगा।

Purchase से पहले यह verify करें:
