Postal Pension Adalat 2026: Submit complaints by 4 November — Monthly hearings begin in Maharashtra & Goa

Read the official government announcement

The Department of Posts has announced a Monthly Adalat Diwas to help retired postal pensioners, serving employees, Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) and postal customers resolve their grievances.

According to the Ministry of Communications’ announcement dated 30 October 2026, the first Adalat will take place in Mumbai on 6 November 2026.

The last date to submit complaints is 4 November 2026. The programme covers the Maharashtra Postal Circle, including Goa.

The initiative will provide a regular platform to address complaints at Circle, Regional and Divisional levels, as applicable.

Four types of Adalats: Who can apply?

The Department of Posts will conduct four types of grievance hearings.

Important: This is not a nationwide Pension Adalat for all Central Government or defence pensioners. It is intended for matters under the jurisdiction of the Maharashtra Postal Circle.

How to submit a complaint for the Pension Adalat?

Applicants should submit their grievances to the concerned Group Officer or authorised official through the prescribed departmental channel.

The PIB announcement does not provide a dedicated online form, email address or telephone number for submitting grievances. Applicants should confirm the submission method with the relevant Postal Department office.

Will all pension complaints be resolved?

The purpose of Monthly Adalat Diwas is to improve the speed, transparency and accessibility of grievance resolution.

However, submission does not guarantee immediate settlement.

The announcement also does not introduce any new pension increase, allowance or financial benefit.

It establishes a recurring mechanism for examining existing complaints.

Conclusion

The new Monthly Adalat Diwas provides eligible postal pensioners and employees with a regular opportunity to raise unresolved grievances.

Those seeking consideration at the first hearing should prepare their documents and submit their complaints through the prescribed channel before the deadline.
