Ghaziabad Ayush Pratap Singh case: Retired Air Force veteran father ने बेटे की मौत पर उठाए सवाल, FIR के बाद जांच जारी

A father who served the nation in uniform.
After retirement, he became a teacher.
His son was preparing for IIT.
One day, the boy left home on a bike — and never returned.

The Ghaziabad Ayush Pratap Singh case is no longer just a road accident report. It has become the story of a retired Air Force veteran father who is seeking answers over the death of his son and has raised serious questions about the circumstances of the incident.

According to available media reports, the father’s name is Khajan Singh. Hindustan Times, quoting ACP Nandgram, described him as a retired Air Force personnel and a teacher. Therefore, it would not be correct to describe this as a retired Navy officer case. This case is linked to a retired Air Force veteran father and his IIT aspirant son.

Who was Ayush Pratap Singh?

Ayush Pratap Singh was reportedly a resident of the Karhera/Sahibabad area of Ghaziabad. According to media reports, he was preparing for the IIT entrance examination. Hindustan Times reported that his father stated in the FIR that Ayush’s main examination was about a month away.

For any family, a child preparing for IIT represents hope, hard work and a future built through discipline. For a soldier’s family, that dream carries even deeper meaning. A father who spent his life in uniform often sees his child’s education as the next generation’s achievement.

But on 28 December 2025, that dream was shattered.

What happened on 28 December 2025?

According to reports, Ayush left home on his bike on 28 December 2025. Hindustan Times reported that he had gone towards the local market, and later the family received information about an accident near Ashram Road in the Nandgram area.

The report said that when Ayush’s mother called his phone, bystanders answered and informed her about the accident. The family reached the hospital, but by then Ayush had died and his body was in the mortuary.

Initially, the matter appeared to be a tragic road accident. As per the police version reported by Hindustan Times, Ayush may have hit a roadside divider, and prima facie no other vehicle was found involved. Police also said that no complaint was given by the parents at that time, so no case was registered immediately.

But the matter did not end there.

Why did the father raise suspicion?

After some time, Khajan Singh began raising questions about the death of his son. He alleged that the incident may not have been a simple accident and could have been a planned killing.

According to Hindustan Times, the father stated in the FIR that the exact spot of the incident did not have CCTV coverage. He also alleged that the death was not a road accident but a planned murder.

This is where the case becomes sensitive. On one side, there was the initial accident angle. On the other side, there was the father’s suspicion that something more serious may have happened.

The responsible way to understand this case is clear:

The family has raised suspicion of murder. The police investigation is ongoing. Murder has not been legally proven as a final fact.

What dispute did Khajan Singh refer to?

According to Hindustan Times, Khajan Singh named seven people from a government school in Bulandshahr in the FIR and alleged that he had an earlier dispute with them. He reportedly said that he had exposed alleged corrupt practices, which had angered some people.

The report also stated that the father claimed his son had told him before the incident that one of the suspects had been asking about him near their house.

These are serious allegations. However, they remain allegations at this stage. Investigation is necessary to establish whether there was any connection between the alleged dispute and Ayush’s death.

When was the FIR registered?

According to Hindustan Times, Ghaziabad police registered an FIR on 17 June 2026 at Nandgram police station.

The FIR was reportedly registered under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections 106(1), which relates to causing death by negligence, and 281, which relates to rash and negligent driving. The FIR was registered against unidentified persons.

This detail is important because it shows that the police have not registered the case under murder sections at this stage. The FIR has been registered from the angle of road accident, rash driving and death by negligence.

ACP Nandgram Ziauddin Ahmad told Hindustan Times that the investigation would cover all probable angles, including the allegations made by the father.

What is the current police position?

As per the media report, police said that the parents did not file a complaint immediately after the incident. Later, the father began filing complaints alleging murder.

The father reportedly submitted a complaint on 12 February and later approached the Commissioner of Police on 29 April. After an inquiry, the FIR was registered on 17 June 2026.

The investigating officer will now examine the matter, including the allegations raised by the father. This means the case is still at the investigation stage. The final picture will depend on police investigation, forensic material, FIR details and further legal proceedings.

Why this case matters for our readers?

This is not just a local crime report. It is a veteran family’s painful search for answers.

Sainik Welfare News readers include veterans, ex-servicemen, serving soldiers, defence families and pensioners. For them, this case is relevant because it involves a retired Air Force personnel who is raising questions over the death of his son and demanding a fair investigation.

But while covering this case, responsibility is important. The veteran background makes the story emotional, but allegations must not be presented as proven facts.

There are three separate layers in this case:

LayerMeaning
Confirmed factsAyush died, FIR was registered, investigation is pending
Family allegationThe father says the death may not have been an accident
Legal conclusionNo final police or court conclusion is publicly available yet
Can this be called a murder case?

Not at this stage.

The safe and responsible wording is:

Retired Air Force veteran Khajan Singh has raised suspicion over the death of his son Ayush Pratap Singh. Police have registered an FIR and investigation is underway.

The unsafe wording would be:

The retired officer’s son was murdered.

That should be avoided unless the police or court officially establishes murder.

What questions does this case raise?

The Ayush Pratap Singh case raises several serious questions:

  • Was the initial accident investigation sufficient?
  • Were all angles examined after the family raised suspicion?
  • How will the absence of CCTV coverage at the exact spot affect the investigation?
  • Is there any link between the alleged school-related dispute and the incident?
  • Will forensic and postmortem-related points be examined in detail?
  • Will the FIR bring clarity to the family?

Only a proper investigation can answer these questions.

The pain of a father searching for the truth

The most emotional part of this case is not only the death of a young boy. It is the pain of a father who is living with unanswered questions.

For a parent, losing a child is the deepest tragedy. But when the family is not convinced about how the death happened, grief becomes even heavier. It turns into a search for truth.

For Khajan Singh, this is not just a legal fight. It is a father’s fight to know what really happened to his son.

The veteran family angle

Defence families understand sacrifice, discipline and silence. A retired Air Force personnel spends his life serving the nation, and after retirement, he begins another journey as a teacher. His son prepares for IIT, carrying the dreams of the family forward.

That is why this case must be written with dignity.

It should not be sensationalised.
It should not be reduced to a cold crime brief.
It should be presented as a human story, with facts and caution.

Final view

The Ghaziabad Ayush Pratap Singh case is still under investigation. Available media reports say that Ayush died on 28 December 2025 in the Nandgram area of Ghaziabad. Initially, the incident was treated as a road accident. Later, his father Khajan Singh, reported to be a retired Air Force personnel and teacher, raised suspicion over the death.

Police registered an FIR on 17 June 2026. However, the FIR is currently under sections related to rash driving and death by negligence. The investigation is pending.

The responsible takeaway is:

This is the story of a veteran father seeking justice and clarity, but the allegation of murder remains a matter of investigation.
