Which eight Maharashtra districts are covered?

The Mumbra Agniveer rally covers candidates domiciled in:

  • Nandurbar
  • Dhule
  • Nashik
  • Thane
  • Palghar
  • Mumbai City
  • Mumbai Suburban
  • Raigad

The same eight districts were included under the jurisdiction of ARO Mumbai in the official Recruiting Year 2027 notification.

Candidates from other districts should not travel to the venue merely because the rally is taking place in Thane. Eligibility depends on the recruiting jurisdiction, domicile details and the candidate’s official Phase II call letter.

Who can attend the Mumbra Agniveer Rally?

The rally is not open to every candidate who appeared in the Online CEE.

A candidate should attend only after completing these stages:

  1. Applied during the notified registration period
  2. Appeared in the Online Common Entrance Examination
  3. Qualified for the Phase II shortlist
  4. Received the official Phase II admit card
  5. Reported on the allotted date and time

The ARO Mumbai registration window for Recruiting Year 2027 ran from 13 February to 1 April 2026. The current Mumbra event is the second phase of that recruitment process, not a new application opportunity.

The recruitment notification explains that candidates are shortlisted according to the cut-off applied against available vacancies. The roll numbers of shortlisted candidates are published through the Join Indian Army system, after which the second admit card is issued for the remaining recruitment stages.

Appearing in the CEE does not automatically provide a right to attend the rally. The candidate must be included in the shortlist and possess a valid Phase II admit card.

How can candidates obtain the Phase II admit card?

The Phase II admit card can be downloaded through the candidate’s login profile on the official Join Indian Army portal.

Candidates should check:

  • their roll number;
  • recruitment category;
  • rally venue;
  • reporting date;
  • reporting time;
  • document instructions; and
  • any candidate-specific directions.

The PIB advisory asks candidates to monitor the official Army recruitment website, registered email address and mobile number. They should print the admit card as soon as it becomes available and follow the instructions printed on it.

Candidates should not rely on screenshots, forwarded messages, coaching-centre posts or unofficial call letters. Entry into the rally site requires the admit card generated through the official recruitment system.

What happens during Agniveer Phase II?

Phase II is not limited to a running test.

The recruitment process may include:

  1. Document verification
  2. Physical Fitness Test
  3. Physical Measurement Test
  4. Adaptability assessment, where applicable
  5. Medical examination
  6. Preparation of final merit and enrolment formalities

The notified Physical Fitness Test includes:

  • 1.6-kilometre run;
  • beam or pull-ups;
  • nine-foot ditch; and
  • zig-zag balance.

Physical measurements are checked according to the candidate’s category and applicable regional standards. Candidates qualifying in the physical stages undergo medical examination by the Army medical team.

The Army notification also states that the run timings and marks assigned to different groups can be changed before the rally. Candidates must therefore verify the latest standards through the official portal rather than relying on an old physical-test chart.

Passing one stage does not guarantee final selection. Recruitment depends on the candidate satisfying every eligibility condition, clearing the prescribed tests, meeting medical standards and securing a place in the final merit based on available vacancies.

Which documents should candidates carry?

Document verification can determine whether a shortlisted candidate is allowed to continue in the recruitment process.

The official ARO Mumbai notification directs candidates to report with original certificates and two attested photocopies of the prescribed documents.

The main document set includes:

  • Phase II admit card printed clearly on good-quality paper;
  • Aadhaar card;
  • educational certificates and marksheets;
  • ITI or diploma certificates, where applicable;
  • domicile, nativity or permanent-residence certificate;
  • caste certificate, where applicable;
  • religion certificate, where required;
  • police character certificate;
  • school or college character certificate;
  • local character certificate with photograph;
  • unmarried certificate with photograph;
  • prescribed affidavit;
  • NCC certificates, where claimed;
  • sports certificates, where claimed;
  • relationship certificate, where claimed;
  • original discharge book in eligible ex-servicemen relationship cases;
  • indemnity bond; and
  • other documents specifically listed on the admit card.

The notification also requires 20 recent passport-size colour photographs on good-quality photographic paper with a white background. The photographs should meet the age and appearance specifications stated in the notification.

Candidates claiming benefits for NCC, sports or relationship status must produce the relevant original certificates during the rally. Such certificates may not be accepted after the rally has concluded.

What should ex-servicemen’s wards carry?

Candidates claiming relationship benefits as sons of serving personnel, ex-servicemen, war widows or widows must carry the documentation prescribed for that category.

The official notification requires:

  • relationship certificate issued by the concerned Record Office;
  • the prescribed declaration or affidavit;
  • original discharge book of the ex-serviceman; and
  • confirmation that the candidate’s name and date of birth are recorded where required.

Merely being the child of an ex-serviceman does not guarantee recruitment. The candidate must still satisfy eligibility requirements, clear the physical and medical stages and qualify in the final merit.

Why must candidates follow their individual reporting date?

Every candidate must report strictly on the date and time printed on the Phase II admit card.

The official rally announcement states that a candidate will not be permitted to participate on a date other than the one allotted.

Candidates travelling from distant districts such as Nandurbar, Dhule or Nashik should plan their journey carefully. They should allow additional time for traffic, local transport and unexpected delays.

The venue should not be approached at a convenient personal time. The admit card schedule is the controlling instruction.

What mistakes can lead to rejection?

A candidate who has passed the CEE can still lose the opportunity because of an avoidable documentation or reporting error.

Common risks include:

  • arriving on the wrong date;
  • reporting late;
  • not carrying the official Phase II admit card;
  • missing original certificates;
  • bringing invalid or outdated certificates;
  • mismatch between Aadhaar and educational records;
  • tampered or altered documents;
  • false NCC, sports or relationship claims;
  • failure to meet physical standards;
  • medical unfitness; and
  • possession or use of prohibited performance-enhancing substances.

The official notification states that documents containing overwriting, altered seals or other tampering will not be accepted. Submission of false documents can result in cancellation of candidature and legal action.

Why should candidates avoid agents and touts?

The Indian Army has warned candidates against individuals who claim that they can secure recruitment, medical clearance, document approval or final selection.

Recruitment is described as fair, transparent, merit-based and computerised. No person or private agency can influence the candidate’s selection.

Candidates should never hand over:

  • original certificates;
  • admit cards;
  • portal passwords;
  • OTPs;
  • Aadhaar details; or
  • money

to an unauthorised person.

The strongest protection against fraud is to follow only the official Join Indian Army portal, the Phase II admit card and communications received through the registered email address or mobile number.

Final checklist before travelling to Mumbra

Before leaving for the rally, shortlisted candidates should confirm:

  • Phase II admit card has been downloaded and printed;
  • reporting date and time have been checked;
  • Aadhaar details match the application;
  • all original certificates are packed safely;
  • prescribed photocopy sets are ready;
  • 20 recent photographs are available;
  • required affidavits are complete;
  • NCC, sports or relationship certificates are included where applicable;
  • travel route to the Mumbra stadium has been confirmed;
  • adequate sleep and hydration have been maintained; and
  • no money or documents have been given to an agent.
Final takeaway

The Indian Army Agniveer Recruitment Rally beginning in Mumbra, Thane, from 20 July 2026 is meant for shortlisted Online CEE candidates from eight Maharashtra districts.

It is not a fresh-registration camp.

Candidates can participate only after receiving an official Phase II admit card and must report on the date and time printed on it.

Physical preparation is important, but successful reporting also depends on complete documents, valid identity records, correct certificates and strict compliance with the admit-card instructions.

A candidate should reach the venue with three things fully prepared:

  • physical fitness;
  • genuine documents; and
  • verified official information.
